Covid-19 Policies and Procedures for Massage
Michael Weinberg, RMT
As a Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario we are required to successfully complete the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Core Competency tests developed by Public Health Ontario.
I screen for COVID-19 symptoms daily before I will be accepting appointments which includes taking my temperature daily.
Before and after your treatment, I will thoroughly wash my hands, forearms and elbows with soap and water. I will also have Health Canada-approved hand sanitizer on hand (70%-90% alcohol concentration).
I clean all surfaces of the massage table including the face cradle with Health Canada and CMTO approved disinfecting products using a “wipe twice” method on all surfaces (wipe once to clean, wipe again to disinfect).
During your treatment, I will wear a surgical/procedure mask (not cloth) at all times.
I have been trained on safely using and disposing of PPE.
For each treatment session, I am required to keep detailed records of the infection prevention and control practices I have followed.
What I ask of Clients:
complete Covid 19 screening questionnaire upon receipt after booking your appointment
Provide a sink and soap for me to wash up pre and post treatment
Wear a clean mask throughout your treatment.
Wash or sanitize your hands prior to treatment
I recommend that you shower before your treatment
Keep children and others 2m away from the massage table and my belongings to ensure safe physical distancing.
Please do not book a session if:
